We are the Israel of God.The Pursuit of Israel

Galatians 6:15-16

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
And as many as walk according to this rule, peace
be on them, and mercy, and upon the
Israel of God.
If we have been born again by the Holy Spirit, then are we a new creature, we are the Israel of God.

Unfortunately, Israel was pursued by her enemy, Pharaoh, the king of Egypt who knew not God.  "And Pharaoh said, Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go?  I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go" (Ex. 5:2).

God speaks to man through the natural elements, and His infinite creativity.
After the waters were turned to blood, the frogs overran the countryside, the people were infested with lice, swarms of flies covered the land, disease killed the livestock of Egypt, boils and sores infected the Egyptians and their animals, hail destroyed crops and vegetation, swarms of locusts covered the land, thick darkness covered Egypt for three days, and the Egyptian firstborn, both of the people and their animals were destroyed by God's death angel consequently, Pharaoh came to know the Lord and decided to let Israel go (The Ten Plagues of Egypt, The New Open Bible, 1990 by Thomas Nelson, Inc. Pg. 79).

Unfortunately, for the Egyptians, God, being the strategic warrior that He is, decided to harden Pharaoh's heart once again.  Someone told Pharaoh that Israel was camped by the Red Sea, so Pharaoh and his servants said, "Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?"

Consequently, Pharaoh got in his hapless chariot, and took 600 more chariots and captains of Egypt with him, and pursued after Israel.  The story is well known.  Just when your enemies think they have you trapped, God makes a way where there was no way, leaving your enemy baffled and/or dead.

Praise God for all of His wonderful miracles. We know that Miriam took a timbrel in her hands, and Israel began to praise the Lord for His mighty deliverance from the Egyptians by drowning Pharaoh's whole army in the Red Sea of recompense for trying to make the Israel of God into slaves.
Nothing has really changed since God delivered ancient Israel from slavery in Egypt, destroying a whole nation by turning the nature of His creation against it.

Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and we cannot praise Him enough for His sacrifice.Today, Egypt represents the sin of slavery that God has delivered us out of through the blood of Jesus. We still have an enemy named Pharaoh, whose heart God has hardened, so we are pursued to the parting of the Red Sea by an enemy who seemingly cannot let us go.

The God who parted the Red Sea is the same God today.Pharaoh's new name is Satan, and his army are the people who do not know the Lord.  And because they do not know the Lord, they yet pursue Israel, but I hear the sound of the parting of waters.  I hear the sound of a miracle on the horizon.

But even in the face of miracles, someone with a Pharaoh state of mind is lost to reason.  Reason would communicate to them that they are trying to destroy the Israel of God, and that same God who destroyed the enemy of ancient Israel has not changed.  That same God is yet a mighty warrior, and we will get on the other side of the Red Sea by God's mighty deliverance.

If God has brought you out of the slavery of sin, praise Him because He is worthy of all your praise.Instead of melting down the gold, the spoils of
Egypt, that God and blessed us with, and forming idols to worship instead of God, let us praise and worship the God of our deliverance with our whole heart, mind, body and soul.

The pursuit of Israel of God was then and is now a wrongheaded decision.  The pursuers of our souls cannot gain ground because they are yet facing a warrior God, who, unbeknownst to them, leads them into extraordinary traps preordained specifically designed to utterly destroy them all by the hundreds, the thousands, and the millions.  What is the number of Satan's army?  It does not matter.  God is able to wipe out his entire evil host.
Read the Bible and obey the Word of God because you love Him.We serve a mighty, powerful and creative God.  He will destroy nations on our behalf.  If we live our lives according to His Word and obeying His commandments and laws, God will open to us the treasure chest of His blessings and give us of His strength to endure and overcome all the challenges to our faith.  When we need more power we can enter into His holy presence and renew our souls.  He will pour out His spirit and equip us to fight like a warrior in a world gone astray from the pathway of righteousness, a world that is sauntering ever towards Satan's eternal destination.  If we remain steadfast we gain the ultimate prize of eternal life in the presence of our Creator, Jesus, the Lord of all that is and will be.
