Confidentiality for Pastors - A New Pathway to Spiritual Equilibrium

Psalm 57
{To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave.} Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me. He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth. My soul is among lions: and I lie even among  them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth. They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah. My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise. Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations. For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.

Psalm 61:1-4
Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I; for thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings.

Psalm 91
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
God always provides a place of safety within himself where his obedient children can find peace and comfort away from those who have decided to be disobedient children.

So then, spiritual warfare ensues between the obedient children of God, and the disobedient children of God; those who live their lives in rebellion against the Word of God. The truth is, we all belong to God, whether we live according to his Word, or choose to go our own way irregardless of His will.

The play unfolds in our everyday lives as we pursue different avenues of obedience to God's will for our lives. For it would seem that in striving to do God's will there comes a seemingly automatic confrontation with the children who have backslidden into Satan's camp, and are waging war against everything godly within you.

The thing is, that a disobedient child has refused to crucify his/her flesh, not because it was an impossible thing to do, they simply did not want to suffer the consequences of obedience.

It's much easier to let the flesh rule in your life, and go to eternal damnation than it is to simply ignore the cravings of the flesh until it dies. That is a process that no one wants to endure, however if you want to gain eternal life in the presence of the Lord, who was crucified for us, then the price is "flesh crucified".

If someone was holding a gun to your head at all times, and told you that at the moment you sinned you'd be shot, then it becomes quite easy to obey the Word of God.

However, no one is holding a gun to your head to make you live right, it is a choice you have to make based on your love for God.

Therefore our love for God must be perfected, and the only way that occurs is by living through the withdrawal symptoms that comes as an aftereffect of living in a world with no ethical boundaries; a broken and shattered moral compass.
Surrounded by wayward souls one tends to wonder at which point did they stumble and fall into Satan's voracious grasp? How did the corruption of their souls began, and at which point did it collapse within itself, and become a wasteland of confusion and doubt leading them to do abominable things that even they themselves could not imagine doing in the early stages of their soul's downward spiral?

Satan does not reveal the darkness of hell all at once, otherwise he wouldn't have any residents, for after seeing the whole of the disaster of hell they would run back into the safe haven of God's arms.

But the deep, dark caverns of perverse dissipations are hidden from the new arrivals at the gates of hell. So I gather that by the time a stumbling soul finds himself/herself in the grasp of Satan's claws, and tries to twist themselves free, that the struggle is overwhelming, and/or the price of freedom becomes higher than one wants to pay.

Caught in the midst of spiritual warfare is a hazardous place to be, and the only way to survive, and overcome it is by realizing that God is the only safe place to be. There is shelter in his holy presence. There is strength and nourishment to be found in his holy Word.

In God, the Holy Spirit, we find unfathomable love, peace, joy and fulfillment. That is the secret weapon of our defense; to dwell in the presence of the Lord, beneath His wings of protection where no devil in hell can touch that part of you sealed by God for all eternity.
For that is the key to this life, recognizing that it is but a way station, a temporary point in time, a brief pause in eternity. This life is not it! But we have a whole group of people living this life like this is all there is, when in fact it is but a period at the end of one sentence. Keeping the right perspective on what this life is, and what it is not, will help you make the right decision by aligning your life with the Word of God
Jesus died to give us eternal life, and comfort and shelter in the Holy Ghost to help sustain us until we cross over into eternity. All we have to do is repent of our sins and make a commitment to live our lives according to the will of God. Any obstacles that we face will be on the outside of our relationship with God, who will hide us beneath His wings and keep our eternal souls safe in Him. We are talking about eternal life, everything else becomes irrelevant.

What does it matter how long we have to suffer, or what we have to endure in this life as long as we gain the prize of eternal life. We then must realize how brief a stay we have in time to make a decision to love God with all our heart, mind, body and soul. Life is but a brief pause in which we live, and confront opposition daily to living an upright life that is presentable to God.

How valuable is your eternal soul? What price would you put on it? Liquidate the whole world, all its assets, beneath and above the ground, and that price would be comparable to the price of one drop of water in a dry bucket. Your eternal soul is priceless. Living in sin is gambling with the most precious thing you have; the opportunity to live in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ forever.

We are living is a world destined to be destroyed by the God who created it, that is its value to God; a wasteland to be destroyed. That means that everything that we see with our eyes will be destroyed. All the things for which men sell their souls in order to attain will no longer exist; all the things that money can buy, gone in a moment. Why sell your soul to Satan for such a pittance?

Men are tripping over themselves trying to gain this, that or the other, and then they die suddenly, leaving all the things behind that they compromised their eternal soul to gain, and then they must face the judgment of an Eternal God. What then? You have no money to bail yourself out of the divine judgment of God. And even if it were possible to take all of your assets to the Judgment of your Soul, you could never accumulate enough because you cannot put a price on that which is priceless and eternal. Selah.
