Perfected Love
Matthew 10:34-39
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

John 7:1-5
After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him. Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand. His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, show thyself to the world. For neither did his brethren believe in him.
If we love anything or anyone more than the Lord Jesus Christ then our love for the Lord has not yet been perfected. We have not yet sacrificed all to him on the altar of an uncompromised love.

Our love is compromised and impure if we allow ourselves to be manipulated by Satan's disciples for fear of what they may or may not do based on our obedience to their ungodly whims.

Fear is a chief weapon used by fallen souls to take control of your life and destiny; fear of losing a loved one via accidents that are really  murder by wicked devices, by food poisoning, dubious surgeries or any host of methods of destruction with the goal being to destroy your eternal soul, fear of losing a job by incredulous wickedness and stealth, fear of losing our health and strength, and fear of losing relationships, either friendships or family members. This list is endless.

Anything with fear at its foundation is evil and comes from satanic forces, people whose minds are warped by sin and who have taken on the mind of Satan, a mentality that seeks to kill, steal and destroy any good thing or person striving to live their lives according to the Word of God.

Consequently, the moment we allow fear into our lives we have stepped off the pathway of righteousness because we have forgotten the scriptures.

"See now that I, even I, am he,
and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive;I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever. If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me. I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy" (Deuteronomy 32:39-42).
We must remember that all things are in God's hands and whatsoever we lose or gain is all within the parameters of God's divine will. So to allow ourselves to be manipulated is inexcusably sowing the seeds of recompense into our lives, and that recompense for failing to trust God can cause a whole world full of trouble to enter into our lives.

Either we trust God with our lives or we do not. And if we do trust God, when Satan's disciples threaten to kill our loved ones, or to take something from us, we can walk on undeterred from obeying the will of God because our love is perfected in him, therefore our trust is the solid foundation that we stand upon; the kind of trust that has accepted all eventualities within the framework of our servitude to the divine Creator, and knower of all things. So unpeturbed are we by the machinations of evil doers that we accept loss of all things as a consequence of serving the Lord Jesus Christ.

Whatever we lose or gain in this finite life we lost or gained it before the worlds were formed. So it then behooves us to follow Jesus nevertheless through our tears and pain, and if mourning over the loss of a loved one is part of our Christian equation then we pause to mourn, after which we continue our journey towards eternal life in the presence of the Lord.

If we fall by the wayside in allowing Satan's imps to control our lives, then we have only ourselves to blame by becoming another reflection in the mirrors of finite time of another soul scrambling, trying to figure out how to get free from Satan's web of eternal damnation.

Satan cannot really take anything away from us or give us anything that was not already ours before the foundations of the world were laid. Satan can only operate within the parameters of God's will. He can only offer us what is already ours prematurely before God has ordained for us to receive it.
If Satan offers wealth and fame be assured that it is already yours and it is just a matter of time before God clothes you with it. If Satan threatens your loved ones know that their lives are always in the Lord's hands, and you will only lose what God has already determined to be so.

We, as Christians, must always accept God's will through adversity, loss and despair because it is the making of us into vessels fit for the Master's use. So to fear this or that is an extraordinarily stupid thing to do because in so doing we give Satan's disciples territory in our life from which they will attempt to derail our eternal life.

Never, never, never open the door when Satan knocks on it. Don't even listen to his threats of doom and gloom. It is all an effort to set you up, and turn things and people you love into bargaining chips to lay an anchor in your life in order to sink your soul into the quagmire of disobedience and disbelief.

Never bargain with the devil because he really has nothing but what you foolishly give to him. He's like an empty cargo ship perusing the world looking for someone he can dupe into entering his ship of sin by using the pitchforks of fear and manipulation to make an entrance into your life. Once he enters he won't be satisfied with a mere corner of your life, but he will repeatedly beat you upside the head with whatever you fear. He will always use that threat against you to try and gain more and more ground towards the final destruction of you soul.

He may start off with a seemingly inconsequential little thing, but rest assured it is only the beginning. So never even have a conversation with the devil, just ignore him and his disciples, keeping your all focused on doing the will of God.

Anytime you make compromises with Satan you are setting yourself up to lose, and simultaneously incurring the wrath of God who will be offended at your lack of faith in him, and his ability to deliver you from the hand of your oppressors.

God will always come back to you and ask you to sacrifice the thing that means the most to you, the thing or person that he gave to you, on the altar of obedience. Abraham discovered this when God asked him to literally sacrifice his son Isaac on the altar of obedience. Whatever your Isaac is be prepared to offer it back to God. In the end God may or may not take it back, but the critical thing is that you obey him like Abraham did without knowing the outcome, but realizing that God is God and that he knows what he is doing.

If the enemies of the Truth sought to kill Jesus, then it was a foreshadowing of what was to come, they will also seek to kill anyone who is a follower of Jesus. In the days of old it was so, and nothing has really changed. Methodologies have altered, but the end game has not. If you love the Lord God with all your heart, soul, mind and body, then expect to be crucified, not on a literal cross but a cross nevertheless.

We have chosen life over death, consequently life in this present world is fraught with pain and suffering until we, like Christ, rise from the dead and enter into the Kingdom of God, on the other side of this life while yet in this life. To achieve eternal life by wrapping ourselves up in faith and hope, as destined children of God, is living fully in the presence of God already.

We may still be encased in flesh and bones, but our spirits have risen and become one with the Lord. We live in this world but we are not of this world. We have let go of worldly things and embraced the things of the spirit, the precious, holy things of God.

We have sacrificed all on the altar of obedience. Consequently, we endure the wiles of the devil, we rise above our flesh, and we walk triumphantly through this world to the other side of death, on our way to our eternal home in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, God the Father, our love perfected.
