Anointed Turning

And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD's anointed is before him.   But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.   Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.   Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.   Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath not chosen these.   And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.   And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.   Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah (1 Samuel 16:6-13).

And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, That the men of Jabesh-gilead were they that buried Saul (2 Samuel 2:4).

So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the Lord: and they anointed David king over Israel (2 Samuel 5:3).
Between the time of the anointing and the time of the appointing comes the anointed turning, which requires a higher level of endurance because the opposing forces of evil will seek, at every single degree of turning, to hinder the word that God has spoken over your life, and will seek to prevent you from entering into your promised land by any means available to them.

From shepherd to king is a long way to go, but this is God's forte, to bring someone from nowhere and sit them in a high place. We know that Esther, by the power of God, went from orphan to the Queen of Persia, the largest empire of the world, and Joseph, by the power of God, went from slave to ruler over all the land of Egypt. There is nothing impossible with God.

The anointed turning, the process that brings you into the place that God has set aside specifically for you, occurs degree by degree.

And at each turning degree you may find yourself stumbling in and out of painful situations and circumstances, wondering what is going on in your life because it suddenly became more difficult. You have just reached the anointed turning in your life, your season has abruptly arrived, and your enemies are aware of it.

Consequently, the fires of hell are heated up, meaning that fear and trembling are urging your enemies into the Land of Stupidity because they have just figured out that they have been fighting against God.

Instead stepping aside and desisting they really try to destroy you because they instinctively know that your promotion means their demotion and/or destruction. Recompense from God will undoubtedly be served up to them for attempting to hinder the will of God in your life.

Haman was hanged on the gallows he had constructed to hang Mordecai, Esther's uncle and guardian. Joseph's brothers, who wanted to kill him because they were jealous of him, sold him into slavery instead, and ended up, unknowingly, bowing to him as the ruler of Egypt, according to the dream he dreamed about binding sheaves in the field.
Dreams from God are like prophecies that come true, even though we don't understand them at the time, nevertheless, they are speaking to us concerning our future.

At age seventeen, Joseph probably had no idea what his dreams meant, otherwise he would have kept them to himself. He was, no doubt, just excited and wanted to share his dreams, but in the sharing stirred up the already unvented hatred of his brothers, because their father made Joseph a coat of many colors, which the brothers interpreted as meaning that their father loved Joseph more than he loved them. Consequently, hatred of Joseph was their response.

Nothing really has changed. We are all God's children, it's just that some of us obey the word and will of God in our lives, and some of us do not. So when God begins to bless his obedient servants, his disobedient servants responds with hatred. God singles out his children to bless them according to what's in their heart. If your heart is right with God, meaning that you are obedient to his will and his word in your life, and your spirit is humble before him, he will bless you accordingly.

The anointed turning is full of pitfalls, and because your enemies are seeking your destruction, expect anything and everything outside the realm of normality to occur, that is, outside of the normal ongoing trials and tribulations that Christians confront on a daily basis.

In the process of transitioning you from one sphere of existence to another one, be prepared to change within and without.

The preparation process is the refining process, the final step before you enter into the king's inner sanctum; God's divine purpose for your life, reminiscent of what Esther went through, a purification process, which in this current reality is a healing process.
Healing from the hell you have been through and healing from the ravages meted out upon your person within and without. God has to heal you from all the hidden scars in your soul; leftover remnants of the pain and suffering you have endured.
God will bring you into your promised land and in the process destroy all your enemies. He drowned Pharaoh's army in the Red Sea and Israel proceed forth to the Promised Land leaving those behind, buried in a dusty dry desert, who refused to obey the word and will of God, and in their stead he took their children into their promise. God is patient and he will systematically destroy anything and anyone who seeks to keep his word and his will from coming to pass.

Herod tried to kill Jesus when he was an infant. "Thus saith the Lord; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not" (Jeremiah 31:15). Yet Jesus fulfilled his purpose; to die for the sins of the whole world, because God called his son out of Egypt preserving him from destruction, covering him, and preparing him for the anointed turning, his purpose in life, death by crucifixion.

The enemies of Jesus, the church, the people who were suppose to be on the side of right, were his worst enemies. It was they who set him up to be crucified not knowing that they were simply following the God-plan laid out for Jesus before the foundation of the world. If you find yourself surrounded by people in the church who are seeking to displace you, replace you or run you out altogether, don't be shocked, just remain where God has placed you and know that there is a separation coming to the body of Christ.

The church has entered into the hour when God is separating the righteous from the unrighteous; gathering the tares from among the wheat. "The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 13:41-42).

"And now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire (Matthew 3:10). God will only endure the wicked but for so long, and then they will find themselves facing judgment, and who is that man or woman who can stand before an angry God without crumbling into nothingness; the very dust that we were created from?

So if you are going through tremendous trials and tribulations and you feel your purpose looming ahead of you, and you are wondering why so much gunk is happening in your life, and why God is allowing it, remember, he is making you and whatever is necessary to do it, is part of the program. It's the conversion factor operating in your life. Only God knows what trials, and what pain and suffering it takes to refine you, and prepare you to step boldly into your purpose without any trepidations whatsoever.

God will make you a coat of many colors representing the anointing for the purpose that he has placed in your life, purpose that you were born to accomplish. So it's not surprising that the disobedient sons and daughters of God will seek your destruction due to sheer raw jealousy, simply because you have found favor with the Father and consequently he is blessing you. They look upon your coat of many colors and their jealousy rages against you. They don't want to do what it takes to obtain the blessings of the Father; present to him a pure heart, because they are stuck in sins that they refuse to let go of in lieu of the Holy Spirit operating in their lives.

Joseph's brothers probably hated him even before his father made him a coat of many colors, even before he dreamed dreams because he was set aside before birth by God the Father for a specific purpose, to preserve Israel during the famine, as with Esther to preserve the Jewish people in the face of Hamans' pogrom; the destruction of all the Jewish people living in Persia at the time.

So like a butterfly emerging out of its cocoon, you will come into the purpose of God beautifully, exquisitely, and no one can hinder the anointed turning in your life but you. Remain steadfast in his holy will and watch him deliver miracles to you, and usher you into a new world created specifically and divinely especially for you.

However, do not presuppose that this new world will be free of trials and tribulations. They will be greater because you are now in purpose. Don't think to relax, but prepare yourself for the beginning of a new season where all the honed skills of survival that you have acquired as a spiritual warrior will come to the fore to assist you in this new endeavor. Somewhat like Jesus, nailed on the cross, dying, but on the way to purpose. On the other side of death he fulfilled his purpose, came back to his disciples and then returned to heaven.

The anointed turning is similar. You may feel like you are being persecuted for no apparent reason, but realize that you are on the brink of entering into divine purpose; like a baby being born, the hardest pains are just prior to birth, but then the real work begins. New parents have committed themselves to 18-21 years of raising a child. What will you give birth to? Ministry to the people of God in some creative form or another is the answer.

So if you find yourself nailed on the cross of suffering with no viable way down, just endure the beast until it you cross over into your purpose. Once there the anointing will kick in and guide you through all the   rigmarole of formulating a new life based on being baptized in purpose.
